Every person’s journey toward healing is unique, and I am dedicated to guiding adults who experience anxiety, depression, and trauma-related concerns. My name is Damaris E Cordero, a licensed clinical psychologist (PsyD) providing virtual therapy. I am bilingual, offering therapy in English and Spanish to support clients in the language they are most comfortable with. My approach is rooted in compassion, dedication, and deep respect for each individual’s story.
I currently have over 16 years within the non-profit sector, private practice, residential substance abuse treatment facilities, and medical Social Work facilities. And over 10 years of experience as a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor (CADC). Throughout these roles, I have developed specialized skills in crisis intervention, non-violent Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), care coordination, and de-escalation techniques for clients in active crisis, alongside with identifying solution-focused practices, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Trauma Reprocessing. My clinical experience includes delivering comprehensive care to clients managing chronic medical conditions, complex trauma, and acute substance use disorders.
Maribel Rodriguez, LMHC, is a DBT therapist, trainer, and coach who supports individuals in finding balance between acceptance and change. Her approach is warm, direct, culturally conscious, and solution-focused, helping clients feel understood while gaining tools to move forward. She believes healing happens in real connection, practical skill-building, and learning to rewrite your story with resilience and purpose.
Life can be challenging, and taking the first step towards change is often the hardest. I believe that having support and guidance during those dark or uncertain times can be essential. Whether you're facing your own struggles or supporting someone else through difficult moments, the burden can feel overwhelming.
I have a particular passion and expertise in working with:
Clients recovering from traumatic or adverse experiences
Overworked/burned-out professionals
Overburdened parents managing multiple demands
Teens and adults navigating the nuanced challenges of mood disorders such as anxiety and depression
I'm passionate about supporting individuals through life's challenges. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in your life.
I know what it feels like to self-doubt, not trust yourself, or be riddled with anxiety. I can help you get out of that analysis paralysis or constant reach for external validation to feel okay. When anxiety or self-doubt creep in, I teach you to meet them with curiosity and compassion. You will learn that your emotions are messengers that guide you back to your needs and your inner wisdom. I have worked with women and couples in private practice settings who struggle with relationship issues, emotional dysregulation, and communication. I work with women who struggle with high reactivity to learn how to work with their emotional guidance system and develop more internal resilience, control over their mind, and peace.
