Hi, I'm Mark.
I work with adolescents, teens, young adults, and adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, anger, and relationships.
If you feel overwhelmed by emotions, we can face these challenges together with a good plan and the right tools. I have a lot of experience working with neurodiversity, anxiety, and self-harm.
Therapy can expand and strengthen your network of support, especially during difficult times. Reach out today--I'd love to answer any questions and share more.
I enjoy bringing humor and kindness to my sessions I want to know what you need and will do my best with helping you get there
I am direct, forward looking, empathetic and a good listener.
I have been in mental health since 2014 and in general healthcare since 1993. I enjoy working with clients of all ages. The clients that tend to gravitate towards my practice are female-presenting, neurodivergent, and families with children with behavioral challenges. I have a vast experience/knowledge base in mental health having worked in community agencies, private practice, school therapy (specifically IEP-related therapy), court- and CPS-involved cases, running groups, and working both on adolescent and adult psychiatric inpatient units. I offer a complementary brief meet and greet before scheduling the first appointment so my clients/families can ask me questions and see if my practice is a good fit for them. I also have a trauma treatment background with certification - trauma comes up in a lot of my work with clients even if that is not what led to starting therapy.
Hi, I’m Angela Njoroge, a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner and therapist. I offer a down-to-earth, supportive space to help you feel heard, understood, and empowered. I work with kids, teens, and adults on things like anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, narsassistic abuse treatment, and life stress. My approach is collaborative and compassionate—whether we’re working through tough emotions or finding the right medication support, we’ll do it together.
My approach to mental health is holistic and integrative. I incorporate various techniques such as talk therapy, mindfulness, nutrition, sleep hygiene, and when appropriate, medication management, all tailored to your unique needs and goals.
Our work together will be collaborative, with a treatment plan that honors your individual journey and empowers you to take control of your mental wellness.
Growing up in a culture where mental health was often stigmatized, I saw how difficult it could be for people to openly talk about their struggles or ask for support. Those experiences shaped my passion for therapy and inspired me to help create a space where people feel comfortable, supported, and understood without fear of judgment.
In my work, I’ve had the opportunity to support individuals from diverse backgrounds who are navigating a range of life challenges. These experiences have strengthened my belief in meeting each person with empathy, patience, and respect for where they are in their journey, while helping them build on their strengths and move toward meaningful change.
I am an integrative clinician providing psychotherapy, coaching, and mindful medication management to support meaningful and lasting change. I am also a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a Master’s from UCSF (2018), where I trained at Langley Porter Psychiatric Hospital and Clinics. Additionally, I hold a Sociology degree from Dartmouth College, have completed coursework at the San Francisco Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Training Program, and foundational studies in energy medicine at the Academy of Intuition Medicine. I continue to refine my work through ongoing psychoanalytic supervision.
